The Swiss asset manager is establishing a presence in Denmark, its first in the Nordics.
The firm, which had CHF120.4bn (€111.3bn) in AUM as of 30 September 2020, said it “underscores the importance” of the market, where it has an established client base.
From the Copenhagen base, Gam will provide institutional and intermediary clients access to its entire range of investment management capabilities.
Gianluca Cerami, client director northern Europe, has been named head of the Copenhagen branch and is tasked with driving growth in the region.

Chief executive Peter Sanderson said: “The opening of the Copenhagen office is a strategic step to strengthen our distribution in the Nordic countries.
