‘In a slowdown the best opportunities will be in the US’

In this video, Thierry Guerillot, head of fund selection at Myria Asset Management in Paris argues that in the face of a global slowdown, the best investment opportunities will be in the US.

“[US investors] don’t buy the cycle. They don’t have any incentive to be invested elsewhere such as Europe or emerging markets. They will keep on investing in US growth stocks and high yield bonds,” he said.

Guerillot was speaking on the sidelines of Expert Investor’s Pan-European Congress in Barcelona last month.
