UK manager adds Europe-based representative, as French asset manager names head of real estate debt

In a bid to strengthen its business in Europe, UK fund manager Artemis has recruited Stefan Sealey as its first representative to be based on the continent.

He will join from Citywire on 4 May where he has been head of Germany, Austria and Switzerland since 2012 and was responsible for the media organisation’s Dach business.

Sealey built and managed relationships with fund buyers in institutional and semi-institutional markets and with wealth managers across all Dach markets.

Artemis already offers nine Sicav sub-funds to European investors and, subject to regulatory approval, is planning to launch more.

Christophe Montcerisier has been promoted to head of real estate debt within the private debt & real assets investment division of BNPP AM.

He has been deputy head since joining the firm in 2019 from Société Générale, where he was a managing director within the real estate M&A team.

Montcerisier’s started his career at Paribas in 1986 and it has been spent within European real estate financing, investment and consultancy.

Prior to SocGen, he was head of business development at GE Capital Real Estate in Paris, and was responsible for investing in a pan-European fund.

He also spent more than eight years at RBS where he headed the real estate finance team in Paris and had a leadership role in real estate capital investment especially in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Benelux and Sweden.
