Commerz Real announces global asset management head
Jens Böhnlein, previously global head of office, has been promoted to global head of asset management at Commerz Real.
The announcement from the German asset manager comes as it reorganises and strengthens its organisation.
It has merged the office and industrial division with its shopping segment.
“In the future there will primarily be mixed use of real estate and this will require a holistic management approach,” explained chief executive Andreas Muschter.
Commerz Real is a subsidiary of Commerzbank and has approximately €34bn in assets under management.

BlueOrchard appoints CEO0
Philipp Müller has been promoted to chief executive of BlueOrchard, starting from 1 April 2020, subject to regulatory approval.
He will replace Patrick Scheurle who resigned to pursue entrepreneurial challenges.
Müller is currently head of investment solutions and responsible for the portfolio management and asset allocation of all managed funds and mandates.
Before joining the Swiss asset manager, he worked at Partners Group, a global private markets investment manager headquartered in Switzerland, where he held various management positions.
Additionally, chief investment officer Maria Teresa Zappia has been promoted to deputy chief executive; and Daniel Perroud, global head of business development, has become a member of the executive management team, which is subject to regulatory approval.
BlueOrchard, which has $6bn (€5.6bn) invested, is a global impact investment manager and part of the UK’s Schroders Group.
