BNP Paribas AM adds deputy CEO role to roster

Sandro Pierri has been promoted to deputy chief executive of BNP Paribas Asset Management.

He will take on the newly created role in addition to his existing responsibilities as head of BNPP AM’s global client group, a position he has held since 2017.

Based in London, Pierri will report to Frederic Janbon, chief executive of BNPP AM.

Curriculum Vitae

Pierri started his career as a portfolio manager with San Paolo Fondi, before moving to BNL Gestioni in 1992, later joining ING Investment Management in Italy two years later.

Between 2002 and 2003 he was chief executive of ING Group’s retail business.

Following its acquisition by UniCredit/Pioneer, Pierri joined Pioneer Investments in 2004.

He spent 10 years in various commercial and managerial positions, including being appointed chief executive in 2012.
